Mr Arthur Cummings

Arthur is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Medical Director of the Wellington Eye Clinic, as well as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Beacon Hospital in Dublin. Recognised internationally as one of the leading voices in refractive and cataract surgery, he has performed tens of thousands of procedures and trained surgeons around the world. Arthur understands the role of the tear film intimately given how it impacts cataract and refractive surgery outcomes, and hence has a particular interest in ocular surface disease. 
Passionate about advancing eye care, Arthur balances precision in the operating theatre with a dedication to education, mentorship, and collaboration.

Mr Brendan Cummings

Mr. Brendan Cummings is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital, Beacon Hospital and Wellington Eye Clinic in Dublin. Specialising in cataract and refractive surgery, ocular surface disease, and oculoplastic procedures, he brings deep expertise in both the science and practice of advanced eye care. 
A graduate of University College Dublin, Brendan trained extensively through the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Irish College of Ophthalmologists, achieving MRCSI (Ophth), FEBO, and FRCSI (Ophth) distinctions. In 2024 he became a Fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery (FWCRS). He has performed over 2,000 intraocular lens procedures and is recognised for his precision, innovation, and patient-centred approach.
